About

We don’t do bloated, bland template systems. They require extensive, and often confusing customisation (while telling you it’s easy) in order to make your site look unique.

We don’t make unsubstantiated claims about having ‘unmatched’ SEO’d themes. We consider symantic, Google-loving, airtight coding to be a given. We don’t think it’s something to brag about.

And we don’t trap you into a paid membership. These often require quarterly or annually repeated payments in order to get continued support. No thanks!

The story…

As we have watched the eloquent marketing of the ‘premium theme’ peddlers, some of us have had the desire to pioneer a revival in offering free high quality themes to the WordPress community we so dearly appreciate.

The result is Freebie Themes. A community-orientated site, dedicated to releasing themes which fill the needs of WordPress users, rather than figuring out ways to charge more.

Freebie Themes is where simplicity, funtionality, and beauty merge, on the foundation of a community which supports each other in order to offer the highest standard of development and support for free!

Behind the scenes…

armenHi, my name is Armen, and I’m the guy responsible for kickstarting Freebie Themes. I’m a self-taught web designer from the UK who has just spent over two years in Australia.

Freebie Themes was an idea I had while in Oz, but could only execute effectively once I returned to my homeland, and endeavored to gather some support from those of a similar mind.

I’m not flawless, and neither is my work. But, my hope is that with the help of others, Freebie Themes can become the home for all WordPress fans, to help create themes which enable users achieve their online project objectives.

Others which currently contribute to put together our themes include, my good friend behind Design Slicer, and top Aussie coder, Matthew Rochow.

I’d love to hear from you. There are different ways in which we can serve each other, but it can’t be discussed here. Contact me for further details.
