1. It might be partly due to being late on a Saturday night, but I'm not sure what you've done to get the date displaying where it is. The strange thing is, it's fine in Safari.

I suggest you start afresh with the theme and do your customisations again. The date does not display like that when you first download the theme.

2. I work on a Mac, so I have no idea what the designs look like in Chrome. At this stage, I wouldn't worry too much. I'd be surprised if 0.1% of your visitors were using Chrome.

There were a few issues which I managed to get resolved before there were too many downloads. Thanks to club member Fritz for helping me out by noticing a few issues in the first release.

I know it's very easy to get swept away with a prevailing train of thought, just because certain groups have marketed their idea as if it was something everyone really needed.

Case in point: many of the premium theme providers define their 'premium' status by their themes backend admin options.

Fair enough. There's no doubt that they can make life a lot easier.

Do you think though, that WordPress has come to the stage where it's necessary for a theme to have these 'options' in order to really fill the needs of the end user?

Pristine is almost ready to go. I got the first version back from the coder. It needs a few changes, but it should be ready to release soon enough.

You've a few choices (without changing the design too much).

Either:

1. Shorten your tagline
2. Have fewer pages
3. If it fits, find the correct width percentage
4. Or, change the left margin in the #menu li from 40px, to something smaller.

Ah…that's happened due to your tagline being longer than anticipated.

In the CSS, look for this:

#branding .main {
    float:right;
    width:70%;
}

And change the width to something like “50%”.

That should do the trick.

3) Don't spam. Anything that resembles it will result in automatic deletion of your account and banning from the forum.

4) Watch your language. There will be little tolerance towards bad, offensive, or vulgar language (this includes use in both personal and non-personal contexts). Repeat offenders will be banned. If you have a problem with someone, let admin know; do not return attacks.

5) Support is only offered for themes released by Freebie Themes. Please, do not ask questions regarding other themes.

6) Remember to post a link to the site you are asking questions about, or requesting support for. It's much easier to diagnose issues when it can be seen.

7) Do not private message anyone for technical support for the themes. The forum exists as a resource for all, allowing the all members of the community to contribute in helping and learning from the threads.

It's great to see you here, and I'm delighted if our themes can offer you what you need for your WordPress built website or blog.

Although Freebie Themes is my brainchild, I don't want you to feel that it's mine. What I simply mean is, this is a community project, and there are not only other people involved, but there are lots of different ways in which you can get involved too.

However, because the work here and support is offered free, I feel it's necessary to clarify what you can expect from the forum. To be honest, I was a little hesitant to add a forum because of the expectations members might assume. But, I figured we should give it a try based on the following conditions:

1) Currently, I am the sole moderator of the forum. Therefore, please be patient. Designing themes, organising their development, testing them, updating the site, marketing the site, etc coupled with moderating a forum, makes for a fairly busy day.

2) I cannot guarantee that all your support questions will be answered.

3) I can assure you, if there is a coding bug you've found, or browser incompatibility with a common browser with any of the themes, then there will be an effort made to contact the responsible coder, and seek for an answer.

4) If you have a WordPress related question, you can ask, but usually Google is your friend for questions which don't directly relate to our themes.

5) If you find a solution to a question you ask, please try to return to the thread and share the answer/solution; it may be useful for other members in the future.

The primary purpose of the forum community is to support each other. Many members like to tweak and customise our themes to their taste.

Please, if you are capable, I encourage you to assist other members. If you are an expert in theme customisation, and show a desire to help the community, I will not hesitate to add you as a 'partner' in this project, where members will be encouraged to consider you for paid customisation work.
