After what seems like ages in development, I am absolutely delighted to finally open the doors to Freebie Themes; the new community driven WordPress theme club which comes with a membership fee of zip, zero, zilch!
I was tempted to launch on 1st April, but thought you might think this is an April Fool’s. It’s nothing of the sort! 
Offering a range of simple blog style themes and premium themes, Freebie Themes has the goal of doing what many think is near impossible…providing the highest quality WordPress themes with support, but with no cost.
Thankfully, my faith in the WordPress community has not let me down.
There are a number of talented individuals already behind me, and you’ll see them being credited for their work over time; e.g. those who code or design a theme will have a link in the footer of the theme.
My hope is that more and more talented people who love WordPress, will get involved, so that we can provide more and more themes which meet the needs of the community, without costing them $150 every 3 months or $90 a pop for limited use!
Even if we don’t offer precisely what you’re after, get into the forum and tell us what you want. If there’s some feature you’d like to have for your WordPress-driven site, but the only theme which offers it right now has a hefty price tag attached, then let us know. We’re itching to hear your ideas, and to accommodate your needs.
