Well I must confess, I am absolutely delighted to announce the release of our first WordPress theme. I’ve called it Swiss, due to the very obvious Swiss inspiration.
Of course, the theme should be using Helvetica as the primary font, in order to keep to the ‘Swiss’ theme. That was my intention. However, due to the fact that so many won’t have it, I decided against it and chose Arial instead (a poor substitute, I know).
Furthermore, the difference between Helvetica and Arial causes slight changes in alignment, making some aspects of the design look ‘off’. Not something I like to permit.
Nevertheless, if you’d like to make it truly ‘Swiss’, changing the default font to Helvetica is really simple.
If you don’t like the very Swiss (red) look, don’t be put off. It’s really easy to change the colours, and if there’s demand, I might even put out a Swiss Desaturated version (black and white) for the more traditional among you. Just make the request in the forum.
